I think most parents have it easy in the Philippines. After their 2-3 months leave from work, they can easily hire someone to take care of the baby while they’re working. And some parents, when they’re home from work, still rely on the nanny to change diapers and feed their babies so that they can eat or talk with their spouses or any adult.
Yes, there are daycare centers who take care of kids while their parents work. But most parents here in the US, when they’re done with work, do everything for their babies. The act of balancing family life and career is more called for here than back home.
I wonder how we’d get by when it’s our turn.
